Enabling sis auto schedule

Deduplication runs automatically when the number of blocks added or changed since the last deduplication operation (performed either manually or automatically) exceeds approximately 20 percent of the total number of blocks that deduplication has already processed. You can change the percentage to adjust storage savings and CPU performance.

Step

1. To enable automatic deduplication, enter the following command: sis config -s auto@num /vol/volname

   num—is the two-digit number to specify the percentage.

   If no value is specified, the default value of 20 percent is used. sis config -s auto /vol/volname
