Specifying the TFTP root directory

Any path name specified on the TFTP command line is considered to be relative to the TFTP root directory. TFTP access using absolute path names succeeds only if the specified files are located in the file system under this directory.

Considerations

The default value of the tftpd.rootdir option is /etc/tftpboot. You can specify a TFTP root directory other than /etc/tftpboot.

Step

  1. On the command line of the source system, enter the following command: options tftpd.rootdir pathname

pathname is a fully qualified path name to a valid, existing directory on any volume on the storage system.
