Data ONTAP specifies the state of a plex as resyncing when synchronizing the two plexes of a mirrored aggregate or traditional volume.
Considerations
For example, when you create a mirrored aggregate or traditional volume by adding a plex to an unmirrored aggregate or traditional volume, Data ONTAP puts the added plex in a resyncing state.
Data ONTAP allows you to change the state of a plex from offline to online and from online to offline.

To change the state of a plex,
enter the following command:{ aggr | vol } online | offline plexname
