The present slide shows more examples of arrays associated with the names. In a general case an array is a sequence of values. Hence a value in an array can be an atomic value like string, number, Boolean value or it can be an object or it can be an array,
In the first example a name "2dim array" is associated with an array such that each one of its values is an array of four numbers. An outer array has 3 values being arrays of four numbers.
m array":[ [11,12,13,14],
[21,22,23,24],
[31,32,33,34] ]}
In such a way it is possible to represent multidimensional arrays. An example above represents a two-dimensional array of 3 rows and 4 columns.
In the next example, a name "array of objects" is associated with a value that is an array of objects.
{"array of objects": [ {"name":"James Bond"},
{"name":"Harry Potter"},
{"name":"Robin Hood"} ] }
Each object consist of one name: value pair where the names "name" are associated with the names of people.
In the next example a name "array of truth" is associated with an array of four Boolean values.
{"array of truth":[true, false, true, true]}
In the next example a name "array of nothing" is associated with an array of four null(s).
{"array of nothing":[null, null, null, null, null]}
Note that an array is not empty, it consists of 4 elements each one being nothing i.e. null.
The next example associates a name "empty array" with an empty array.
{"empty array":[ ]}
In this case an array has no elements.
The final example shows that the values included in an array can be of different types. A name "array of varieties" is associated with an array that conatins a number, a string, a Boolean value and an array of strings each one being a single character.
{"array of varieties":[1, "one", true, ["a", "b", "c"]]}
The last example shows that it is possible to create an array with the elements of different atomic and complex (array, object) types.
