Overview

Leadership and Management qualifications are important in developing the skills for leadership and management and are important to those who wish to obtain senior leadership or management positions in health. This degree will broaden the employment scope for those working as health professionals with either a clinical or administrative background.

The Graduate Certificate is also suitable for those people who may not have an undergraduate qualification but significant experience in medical and health leadership and management, this would include Practice Managers, managers of aged care centres and services. The Graduate Certificate is a pathway for further studies or roles in the sector.

Career pathways include: Senior professional clinical leadership roles Nurse Unit Management, Directors of Services, Managers of aged care facilities and services.

The Graduate Certificate in Medical and Health Leadership is also available to applicants who are enrolled through the Federal Government Scheme in the short and focused online course program. This initiative is introduced only for 6 months from May 2020. The short courses will run from July 2020 to December 2020. This initiative provides upskilling opportunities to those who are unemployed as well as pathways into a number of degree programs. Applicants should follow the course structure and rules that are specifically designed for this cohort. Check the course structure and course rules below before enrolling in subjects.

Course Learning Outcomes

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of a course. Students graduating from this course will be able to:
