Overview
The Master of Human Resource Management allows aspiring team leaders or managers with a special interest in the ‘people side’ of organisations to acquire professional skills and knowledge in this area.
The course comprises twelve subjects. Students first complete four foundation subjects at 800 level ( ACCY801, MARK804, MGNT803, OPS 802 ); five specialisation subjects at 900 level (please refer to course structure), two elective subjects may be chosen from 900 level subject code offered by the Faculty of Business; and MGNT922 Business Research Capstone. International students may also select GWP 900 International Workplace Practice as an elective subject option.
Graduates will develop the knowledge and skills to recruit and select suitable staff, manage their performance at work, develop their skills, ensure their safety at work, and deal with legal aspects of the employment relationship.
This degree is available on a full-time or part-time basis at the Wollongong and Sydney campuses. Student successfully completing this degree can achieve credit towards a second Master degree, to take their study period up to 2 years full time (18 subjects, total of 108 credit points). Students may select a second Masters from any of the specialist business Masters degrees offered by the Faculty of Business and Law.

Course Structure
Students must complete a total of 12 subjects, 72 credit points comprising 10 specified subjects as listed in the program structure along with 2 X 900 level elective subjects (12 cps). The foundation subjects should be completed within the first two sessions of study; MGNT908 is recommended to complete within the final two sessions of study and; the capstone subject, MGNT922 Business Research Capstone should be completed within the final session of study. Students select two 900 level elective subjects (totalling 12 cps) from a range of subjects offered by the Faculty of Business (excludes MBA, EMBA and some specialised 900 level subjects).
