The Bachelor of Business offers a broad education across all key aspects of the business environment including accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing. You can tailor your studies according to your interests by choosing subjects from a particular Business discipline, or you may combine Business electives with subjects from other faculties. The selection of subjects can be made in conjunction with a Course Co-ordinator.
A compulsory capstone subject is undertaken in the final year.

To qualify for award of the degree of Bachelor of Business a candidate shall accrue an aggregate of at least 144 credit points by satisfactory completion of the following core subjects.

Plus at least 48 credit points of subjects chosen from the Faculty Schedule of which 18 credit points must be from 300 level Business subjects successfully completed at a pass grade or better.
Plus additional subjects to reach 144 credit points. No more than 72 credit points shall be for 100-level subjects.

General Electives
In addition to core and selected subjects, students may complete elective subjects chosen from any UOW subject offerings available at each campus (provided they meet the subject enrolment requirements), to total 144 cps for the degree. Students are encouraged to complete business related electives, listed on the Subject Database. A recommended elective to apply to enrol within their final year of study is the Professional Experience in Business (COMM391).
