Major Learning Outcomes
- Analyse and appraise broad and coherent knowledge of the Earth with an emphasis on crustal and surface materials and processes including minerals, sediments, rocks, fossils, structures in rocks and concepts in relation to the origin of these.
- Discriminate geological information in a spatial context.
- Demonstrate skills in acquiring and synthesising geological information.
- Synthesizing geological knowledge and skills and appreciating their relevance to Earth processes and natural resources.
- Exercise critical thinking and independent problem solving.
- Communicate clearly and coherently knowledge and ideas to others.
- Analyse recent international developments in broad fields of the sciences and an appreciation of global concepts and perspectives.
