Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Medical Science and Health Research is a 12-month program for students who  are currently enrolled in a PhD Integrated course.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students graduating from the Graduate Diploma in Medical Science and Health Research will be able to: 

  1. Integrate and apply coherent knowledge about concepts and principles in the discipline of medical science and health.
  2. Apply scientific knowledge and skills in relation to medical science and health.
  3. Review, analyse and synthesise information to identify and solve medical science and health questions and problems.
  4. Exercise critical thinking and problem solving to develop and apply new understanding.
  5. Communicate knowledge and ideas about current issues and applied research related to medical science and health.
  6. Manipulate and summarise scientific data pertinent to medical science and health.
  7. Plan, implement and evaluate an independent study within medical science and health. 

Course Structure

To gain entry into a PhD program, students are required to achieve at least a Credit average (65%) in the subjects completed from the Graduate Diploma in Medical Science and Health Research.
