Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Medical Science and Health Research is a six-month program for students who are currently enrolled in Masters by Research.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students graduating from the Graduate Certificate in Medical Science and Health Research will be able to: 

  1. Integrate and apply coherent knowledge about concepts and principles in Medical Science and Health Research.
  2. Review, analyse and synthesise information to identify and solve Medical Science and Health questions and problems.
  3. Exercise critical thinking and problem solving to develop and apply new understanding.
  4. Communicate ideas about current issues and applied research related to Medical Science and Health.
  5. Manipulate, summarise and communicate scientific data.
  6. Plan, implement and evaluate broad functions within scientific investigations.  

Course Structure 

To gain entry into a PhD program, students are required to achieve at least a Credit average (65%) in the subjects completed from the Graduate Certificate in Medical Science and Health Research.
