Bachelor of Pre-Medicine, Science and Health (Health Practice)

The Health Practice major includes a range of knowledge and skills important in health care such as communication, cultural competence, community health community development, and leadership, as well as a solid foundation in biomedical science. This major will provide a solid grounding in both the science and art of medicine.
As well as leading to entry to graduate medicine this major can lead to other postgraduate health professions. It can also lead to a career in medical and health research through Biomedical Science Honours and Doctoral studies. It will also lead to Masters studies in Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH) and Indigenous Health (MSci(Indigenous Health)).
Major Learning Outcomes
Students graduating from a major in Health Practice will be able to:
Critically examine effective models of health systems.
Review and analyse social determinants of health, including how they apply in an Indigenous Health context.
Demonstrate effective communication in health care practice through a variety of media.
