- Students are to follow the requirements of the Handbook for the year they commenced the course.
However, the subject links below do not contain the subject information for the current year. You can view current subject information through the new Course Handbook.
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical Engineering)
Mechanical Engineering includes many exciting fields such as advanced manufacturing, metal forming technology, robotics, control of systems, computer aided design and manufacturing, air conditioning, bio-mechanics, powder technology and tribology.
Cadetships are offered annually by Bluescope Steel Pty Ltd to students with superior academic results in their HSC. Students gain on the job experience and are paid while studying at University. On-line application forms are available from 1 July each year.
Mechanical Engineering has the broadest scope of all the branches of engineering, and graduates in this field have the core skills to adapt to other fields of engineering.
