Course Description
The Graduate Certificate in Physical and Health Education is a program for: qualified teachers who want to upgrade or refresh their knowledge in specific areas; for students whose undergraduate degree does not quite satisfy the NSW Department of Education and Community (DEC) requirements for teaching Physical and Health Education (PE/H); or for Exercise Science/Human Movement graduates wishing to extend their first degree. The program comprises four subjects; two in adolescent health studies and two subjects promoting physical activity/practical studies.
The program involves one week of intensive face-to-face subject delivery on campus in January. This is then followed up with on-line interaction and completion of assignments that extends into the Autumn session. Students who complete all four subjects will be eligible to graduate with the Graduate Certificate in Physical and Health Education.
