Course Description
The Literacy Leadership specialisation provides students with knowledge of literacy and language theories and skills, and how these can be incorporated into appropriate teaching practices. It extends students' understanding of key aspects of English, including working with assessment data from a range of sources, and also presents an opportunity to focus on leadership skills.
Students complete three core subjects:
- Expanding Literacy Repertoires
- Leadership in Curriculum
- Literacy Assessment: Research, Policy and Practice
plus one elective subject chosen from the School's postgraduate schedule in consultation with the Literacy specialisation course co-ordinator.
The subjects are offered by flexible delivery using web-based material. The program is available to international students but only by Distance Education.
