Major Studies - Acting and Performance-Making

Students that are enrolled in the Major Study - Acting and Performance-Making take common subjects in the first two sessions of the course. Following this, students will be streamed into either Acting or Performance-making. Students who fail to meet the required performance standard for either stream will transfer to the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Theatre).

The Acting major is almost entirely prescribed, with the only elective options being 12credit points in first year.

The Performance-making major is more flexible and students are required to take 30 credit points of elective subjects.

While Directing for Theatre is not specified in the Bachelor of Performance, students may be given the option to pursue directing as part of the Performance-making major. The option to study direction is by invitation only.
