Overview
A Bachelor of Creative Arts - Bachelor of Journalism double degree will allow students to sharpen the career focus of their studies in Creative Writing, Graphic Design, Theatre or Visual Arts, The addition of an undergraduate journalism degree will facilitate connections with the media industry, through the journalism internships and through the Journalism Advisory Group, composed of academic journalists and industry professionals. The strong career focus of the degrees will embed the Faculty's Teaching and Learning objective: 'To promote student publishing and career opportunities at undergraduate level' and create a cohort of students from which the Faculty could draw postgraduate journalism students.

Credit Transfer
The Faculty offers credit transfers to students who have successfully completed relevant courses at accredited universities and colleges. Refer to the General Course Rules.
Course Arrangements
Students are required to complete:
• at least 108 credit points from the Course Structure of the Bachelor of Journalism, including all compulsory subjects and six journalism electives;
• 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Creative Arts degree comprising all core subjects (24cp) and a Major Study (72cp)
• sufficient elective credit points to ensure a total of 216 credit points is completed.
• complete no more than 90 credit points at 100 level.
Minors in the Bachelor of Creative Arts - Bachelor of Journalism
Students can also take minors as part of their degree program under the Bachelor of Creative Arts. Subjects taken as part of a minor cannot be cross counted towards any other minor or major. Minors do not appear on the Testamur (degree certificate) but do appear on the Academic Transcript (official academic record). Students are reminded that to have a minor study recorded they must declare their minor study by submitting an Application to Declare or Change Intended Major/Minor.
Honours
Students who complete the double degree with the required academic standard in the relevant major are eligible to apply for Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours).
