Overview

The Dean's Scholar Program is designed for high achieving students to complete the Bachelor of Creative Arts with a number of benefits.

    • A textbook/materials allowance

    • Access to an academic mentor

    • Access to postgraduate events, seminars and workshops, where appropriate

    • Extended internet quota

    • Extended library access

    • Opportunity for internships and/ or self-directed study/ special projects

To qualify for the award of Dean's Scholar, students must complete the course requirements specified for the Bachelor of Creative Arts., Dean's Scholars must also maintain an average of 75% in each year of study to remain in the program. If the student's average falls below 75%, the student will be transferred into the Bachelor of Creative Arts.

Entry Requirements

Admission is based on a combination of academic and artistic ability and attainment of a high (90+) ATAR. Students applying for Creative Writing, Graphic Design, and Visual Arts will be required to submit a portfolio of creative work with their application. Students applying for Theatre will be required to attend an audition.

Please refer to the Faculty website in mid 2011 for details on entry requirements. International applications may be submitted anytime throughout the year for commencement in the next intake.

Course Requirements

A The course requirements for the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dean's Scholar) are the same as for the Bachelor of Creative Arts, with the additional criteria that students must maintain an average of 75% in each year of study to remain in the program. Dean's Scholars receive a number of benefits as listed above.
