Overview

This double degree program allows students to combine the international focus of the Bachelor of International Studies with the Bachelor of Creative Arts.

Minors in the Bachelor of Creative Arts - Bachelor of International Studies

Students can also take minors as part of their degree program under both the Bachelor of Creative Arts and Bachelor of International Studies. Subjects taken as part of a minor cannot be cross counted towards any other minor or major. Minors do not appear on the Testamur (degree certificate) but do appear on the Academic Transcript (official academic record). Students are reminded that to have a minor study recorded they must declare their minor study by submitting an Application to Declare or Change Intended Major/Minor.

Course Requirements

Students are required to complete:

    • all the compulsory core subject and language requirements for the Bachelor of International Studies and one specialist strand offered by the degree;

    • complete 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Creative Arts degree comprising all core subjects (24cp) and a Major Study (72cp)

    • not more than 90 credit points at 100 level;

    • a minimum of 216 credit points of which no more than 36 credit points can be PC (Pass Conceded) grade.

    • The requirements for the Bachelor of International Studies (including its strands) are set out in the University Handbook under the Faculty of Arts entry. The requirements for the Bachelor of Creative Arts are listed in this section under the Faculty of Creative Arts.

Students must consult both Faculty of Creative Arts and Faculty of Arts academic advisors about selecting appropriate subjects.

Honours

Students who complete the double degree to the required academic standard in the relevant major are eligible to apply for either Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) or Bachelor of Arts (Honours).
