*Please note this course is scheduled to be discontinued at the end of Autumn 2009. Students currently enrolled in this degree as at March 31st 2009 will be permitted to complete the degree, provided they maintain continuous enrolment. New students will not be permitted to commence after 31st March 2009. Students returning to study after withdrawing from this degree or transferring out of it will be considered new students and will not be permitted to resume study in the Graduate Certificate of Nutrition Management.
Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Nutrition Management allows students to critically examine key issues relating to food product development in Australia today, and apply new knowledge and skills to developments within their own work environments.
Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge
Applicants must have a 3yr undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian university, or equivalent, with a grade average of 65%. Applicants with 3yr undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian university, or equivalent, with a grade average of less 65% must also have completed a minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience (managerial or supervisory in nature and/or which carries a level of responsibility) after graduation.
Applicants who hold other academic or professional qualifications and have a minimum of five years full-time or ten years part-time relevant work experience may also be granted admission to the program on a case-by-case basis.
International students are required to have achieved an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum level of 6 in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Course Requirements
The Graduate Certificate in Nutrition Management comprises 2 nutrition and 2 management subjects totalling 24 credit points, over two sessions part-time.
