Overview

The aim of this program is to provide health professionals and others with the opportunity to develop competencies in public health. Students can gain a qualification in public health in a flexible manner, including a choice of subjects and a manageable investment of time and money.

Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge

Entrants to the course normally hold a three year undergraduate degree (or equivalent). An applicant holding other acceptable qualifications may be admitted to this course. International students are required to have achieved an IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum level of 6.0 in all bands.

Course Requirements

The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is awarded on the successful completion of 24 credit points of course work selected from the subjects in the table below.

Credit Towards Other Courses

On completion of the Graduate Certificate in Public Health, students may apply to transfer into the Masters of Public Health. Successful applicants will be required to complete a further 24 credit points of course work from the Masters program.
