Overview
The Master of Science (Occupational Health and Safety) provides an intensive professional program of study in the area of OH&S with the opportunity to develop a specialisation in either Occupational and Environmental Health or OH&S Management. This degree also allows students to develop research skills related to professional practice in OH&S.
Entry Requirements / Assumed Knowledge
For direct entry to the Master of Science (Occupational Health and Safety) a recognised 3 year Bachelor degree is required. In addition, applicants must demonstrate that their degree contains the equivalent of one (1) year of science subjects.
Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety with a credit average serves as an alternative basis for entry into the Master of Science (Occupational Health and Safety) for applicants that don't have a Bachelor degree.
International students are required to have achieved an IELTS score of 6.5, with a level of at least 6 in all bands, reading and writing, speaking and listening.
Advanced Standing
Students who have a completed Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science) from UOW that includes either BEXS401 Ergonomics or BEXS403 Ergonomics can apply for advanced standing for GHMA915 Ergonomics in the Master of Science (Occupational Health and Safety).
