International students may also select GWP900 International Workplace Practice as an elective subject option. Following the successful completion of foundation business subjects, students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to develop ideas into sustainable business opportunities and to foster innovation in their workplace. Students cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, experiment with design thinking, and learn to use tools and techniques to convert their ideas to reality. Students learn about finance and marketing in relation to entrepreneurship, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to turn their ideas into realistic business opportunities. They learn how leaders promote a culture conducive to innovation and entrepreneurship.

Throughout their degree, students hone their business planning and presentation skills to enable them to share their ideas convincingly with investors and other relevant stakeholders. Students complete their degree with an industry-based research project enabling them to apply the knowledge and skills they have developed throughout their degree. Student learning activities include ideation, pitching ideas, sales forecasting and evaluating alternative ways of financing their business ideas. Students compare theory with examples of leading edge organisational practices, engaging in peer learning and critical reflection, followed by a variety of assessments including a business plan and a pitch presentation where students demonstrate that they have achieved the course learning outcomes. The collective learning experience and authentic assessments enable students to attain knowledge and skills to standards commensurate with those of international business education and meeting the requirements of a Level 9 AQF qualification.

Students successfully completing this degree can achieve credit towards a second Master degree, to take their study period up to 2 years full time (18 subjects, total of 108 credit points).
