Overview

The Master of International Relations (MIR) at UOWD is an interdisciplinary program that draws on perspectives from international relations and politics, international political economy, history and cultural studies to introduce students to some theoretical approaches to understanding current world affairs, debates about globalisation, economic development and social change. Fundamentally, the program attends to the phenomenon of globalization in all of its political, economic, ecological and socio-cultural aspects..

2 Develop specialized knowledge of international and transnational processes and global challenges by synthesizing multidisciplinary sources and complex information.
3 Analyze critically a range of global political, social, economic and environmental issues using key theories from the disciplines subsumed by the broad field of International Relations.
4 Apply advanced research skills and methods to demonstrate critical knowledge of specialized areas within International Relations and produce a substantial piece of academic writing.
