Overview
The Master of Strategic Human Resource Management (MSHRM) is designed to prepare students and professionals with advanced human resource management skills. The program presents powerful tools for analysing strategic alignment, managing employment relationships and identifying leadership and team dynamic skills essential to orchestrate organisational change. The program will provide critical perspectives on the role and functions of HR executives and change agents.
All courses in the MSHRM degree program are designed to equip individuals with the management expertise to identify and provide solutions to human resource issues that are complex and evolving. Strategic human resource management will provide graduates with the opportunity to obtain proficiency in human resource management concepts, skills and activities in order to help develop human resource systems that will support an organisation's strategic objectives.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students graduating from the Master of Strategic Human Resource Management will be able to:
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the key concepts, theories and frameworks involved with strategic human resource management, incorporating critical analysis and investigative skills in this field.
- Creatively analyse and solve organisational problems in the management of employees.
- Apply best practice to create strategic alignment between human capital and organisational goals.
- Apply leadership initiatives to create networks to develop mutually productive relationships within and across relevant organisations.
- Evaluate regional organisational issues to provide ethical, legal, entrepreneurial and sustainable perspectives that may be communicated in written and oral modes.
Course Structure
Candidates are required to complete twelve (12) subjects (72 cps) according to the sequence of study listed below.
There are ten (10) compulsory subjects that are required to be competed along with two (2) elective subjects to be selected from the approved subjects provided each session.
