Overview

The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) will enable you to successfully integrate technical and management skills, while optimising the use of personnel, resources, equipment and information to execute engineering projects. The program will challenge you to analyse, diagnose and execute strategic judgment in order to identify issues and devise innovative solutions to complex organisational problems. You will also use a range of technical applications and computational tools to support the decision making process in complex business and industrial environments.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students graduating from the Master of Engineering Management will be able to: 

  1. Apply engineering design processes in order to develop innovative solutions to real world problems.
  2. Apply contemporary project management principles and skills to large and technical engineering projects.
  3. Analyse and devise solutions to engineering management problems using a variety of computational tools.
  4. Use strategic analysis tools in decision making for engineering professionals.
  5. Apply research skills in exploring and recommending solutions to emerging challenges in engineering management.
  6. Critically review financial, human resource, economic and environmental requirements for professional practice in the engineering industry.
  7. Function as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate professional and ethical leadership.

 

Course Structure

If you enter the program at the foundation level you will complete 12 subjects in total. If you go directly to the core program, you will complete 10 subjects.
